Article summary

Warranty Information

Your purchase is backed by a solid 1-year warranty.

Essential Product Details

  • Some models of the Mustang may encounter a specific issue related to the turn signal functionality.

  • When dealing with this issue, we recommend disconnecting the yellow turn signal wires and opting to use your factory signals instead. It's essential to note that this adjustment will not affect the Dynamic ColorSHIFT feature of the lights.

Important Note on Turn Signal Issues

If you've come across the issue where your right-hand (RH) side flashes normally while the left-hand (LH) side causes both sides to flash, please consider following these steps:

  1. Disconnect Yellow Turn Signal Wires: We recommend disconnecting the yellow turn signal wires and utilizing your factory signals as a suitable alternative.

  2. Compatibility: This change does not impact the functionality of the Dynamic ColorSHIFT feature of the lights, which will continue to work as intended.

Component List

  • RGBA-DYN-VR: RGBA Dynamic Voltage Regulator

  • RGBA-DYNA-HAR-2: 2 Output Harness Plus Turn Signal

  • 1716-504: Dynamic ColorSHIFT Bluetooth Controller

FITMENT INFORMATION:

Product Compatibility and Installation Details

  • Direct OEM Fitment: Our products are designed for direct Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) fitment, ensuring ease of installation.

  • OEM HID Bulb and Ballast Transfer: If your vehicle comes equipped with OEM High-Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs and ballasts, it's essential to transfer them from your OEM headlight.

  • For Euro Right Hand Drive Mustangs: Our products will fit Euro Right Hand Drive Mustangs, but please be aware that they may not have the dip on the right-hand side of the cutoff. This is because they are primarily designed for Left Hand Drive vehicles.

Wiring Information

  • All connectors are plug-and-play, simplifying the installation process. The only exception to this is the yellow turn signal wires. These wires need to be t-tapped into the OEM signal wires for proper functioning.

  • For precise vehicle wire color information, please refer to the PDF Install Guide, which can be found at Install Guide.

Troubleshooting: Low/High Beam Issues

If you are experiencing issues with the low or high beams, please consider the following steps:

  • Ensure that the OEM bulb and ballast have been correctly transferred from the OEM headlight.

  • If the OEM bulb and ballast are present, check for missing or misplaced pins in the plug. Some units might have been produced with a missing ground pin. Please compare with the provided image below. If a missing pin is found, please issue an RMA, and we will attempt to repair the issue.

Troubleshooting: LEDs Not Powering On

If your LEDs are not powering on, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Verify that the main red (power) and black (ground) cables are correctly connected to the battery and chassis ground. Also, check the main fuse to ensure it is intact. If the fuse is blown, you can replace it with another 10AMP fuse.

  • Step 2: If the issue persists, please proceed to check the yellow wire coming out of the voltage regulator with a voltage meter. This wire should read 5 volts. If you are not getting the 5 volts, please send us a picture of the voltage meter displaying this reading. We will be glad to assist you in replacing the voltage regulator if necessary.

  • Step 3: If the voltage regulator needs replacement, complete a photo warranty and send RGBA-DYN-VR. Shipping costs are to be covered by the customer.

  • Step 4: If you do not have a voltage meter or prefer not to perform troubleshooting, issue an RMA and return label to send the components back for testing (not the headlights themselves).

Troubleshooting: LEDs Out in Spots or Incorrect Colors

If you have LEDs out in certain spots or not displaying the correct colors, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Loosen and remove the three wires from your Dynamic Bluetooth controller. Re-strip the wire ends and re-insert them into the controller in the same color order as shown in the provided image.

Dynamic Bluetooth Controller Issues:

  • Step 2: If you are still experiencing issues after performing these steps, double-check all plugs for loose pin contacts. Move wires around behind each plug and look for changes or jumps in the LEDs. If loose pin contacts are found, re-secure them.

  • Step 3: Double-check all plugs for corrosion. If you find any corroded contacts, clean them and apply dielectric grease.

  • Step 4: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please issue an RMA and return label for the headlight to be returned for repair.

Troubleshooting: Bluetooth Signal Issues

If you are facing issues with the Bluetooth signal:

  • Android devices do not encounter issues with our app. Please ensure that the main red (power) and black (ground) cables are correctly connected to battery power and chassis ground.

  • Verify that the main fuse is in place and intact.

  • Check the voltage using a meter on the yellow wire exiting the voltage regulator; it should read 5V.

  • Make sure that the power is not connected at the opposite end of the controller. Only the three-wire pigtail should be connected to the data harness. Connecting power at this point will void the warranty. You will need to purchase a new controller, PN# 1716-504.

  • If the issue persists, try loosening and removing the three wires from the Bluetooth controller. Re-strip the wire ends and re-insert them into the same spots they were removed from.

  • If these steps do not resolve the issue, the controller will need to come back for testing. Please issue an RMA for PN# 1716-504 (Do not suggest an advanced warranty).

Troubleshooting: Bluetooth Defaults to White and Does Not Respond to Commands

  • The protocol should be set to GRB, not SK6812RGBW. Ensure that this setting is correct.

Troubleshooting: Leveling Issues and Headlight Not Going All the Way Up

If you are experiencing problems with leveling and the headlight does not extend fully, please submit a video to our team for factory review.
