5882-504 Flush mount Installation FAQs and Tips

  • Why the Blank Middle Section: The central void in the assembly is reserved for our factory-installed cross-traffic sensor. However, we are actively researching potential modifications to enable the integration of various accessory modules in this space in the future.

  • Sensor Support: This unit is equipped to support the factory rear sensor, blind spot monitoring system, and cross-traffic sensor. The empty area is designed for seamless replacement with the factory sensor to maintain this functionality.

  • Brake Light Functionality: The entirety of the red portion in the tail light assembly illuminates as the brake lights when you engage the brakes.

  • Auxiliary Switch for Reverse Light: As of now, we do not possess specific information regarding the feasibility of connecting the reverse light portion to an auxiliary switch. We recommend consulting with our technical support team for the most up-to-date information on this topic.

  • Flushness of the Lights: While the taillight assembly may not achieve complete flushness, it offers a substantial enhancement compared to the stock taillights. Please refer to the attached photo for visual reference.

    • Removing Load Equalizer for Factory LED TLS: If you already have factory LED taillights, you can easily remove the load equalizer. It's a straightforward process involving a quick disconnect and doesn't necessitate any additional modifications.

  • Moving Traffic Sensor (Jeep Specific): For Jeep models equipped with a traffic sensor, you can transfer this component from the factory taillight to the Oracle taillight. Detailed instructions for this procedure are available in the provided video.

  • Screws Broken or Stripped: Unfortunately, screws breaking or stripping cannot be covered under warranty and typically arises due to excessive tightening during installation. Over-tightening may not result in immediate breakage but can induce small stress fractures that worsen over time due to road vibrations, ultimately leading to the problems encountered above. Unfortunately, once a tab breaks, there's no immediate solution to repair it. In this case, you'll need to purchase a replacement part. However, we can offer you a discount on replacement screws. If interested, please provide your shipping address and specify whether you require passenger-side, driver-side, or both taillights, and contact the customer service team.

  • Rusted Screws: the hardware has been upgraded to 304 Stainless Steel as of October 2022. This enhancement ensures improved resistance to rust and corrosion.

  • Tabs Breaking During or After Installation: If you encounter any issues with your product, rest assured, we are here to provide guidance and support to help you troubleshoot these issues on your own.
Use the Right Tools: When using tools to secure your product, make sure to use a low setting on an impact driver or a hand screwdriver. This will help prevent over-torquing, which can lead to issues.
