Article summary

  • Halo Color Mismatch:

    • Issue: If you notice one or more Halos are a different color from the rest.

    • Solution: Check the RGB cables, ensure they're plugged in properly (Arrow to Arrow), and examine for pinched or damaged cables between the controller and headlight. Make sure wires are not crossed at the controller.

  • Demon Eye Shining on Ground / Bumper:

    • Issue: The Demon Eye seems to shine on the ground or bumper.

    • Explanation: This occurs due to the LED positioning behind the optic, and it's perfectly normal, not a defect.

  • Halo and Demon Eye Staying On:

    • Issue: Halo 1 and Halo 2 do not turn off when the car is off, and you have to turn them off via the app.

    • Explanation: Only the DRL mode (the outer halo in white mode) turns on/off with the car's key. Color features need to be controlled solely through the app.

  • Halo and Demon Eye Color Mismatch:

    • Issue: When the car starts at night, the Demon Eyes and Halo 1 are both white, but when the color is changed, the inner halo turned red while the outer stayed white along with the Demon Eye.

    • Explanation: At night, when the vehicle is on and set to auto, the low-beam LED is active, which can affect the Demon Eye color.

  • Halo Colors When Car is Off:

    • Issue: Halo 1 and Halo 2 become the same colors when the car is off but not while driving, and Demon Eyes cannot be powered on when the car is off.

    • Explanation: If all three zones (Outer RGB, Inner RGB, & Demon Eye) are wired to a single BC1 controller, they'll operate in sync, displaying the same color. To improve contrast, refer to our installation video to wire three BC1 controllers to control each zone separately.

  • Inner Halo Issue:

    • Issue: The outer halo works, but the inner halo doesn't.

    • Solution: Make sure all RGB cable connectors are aligned arrow to arrow. Check any butt connections or solders per the video, ensuring they're correctly done with no loose connections.

  • Outer Halo Staying White:

    • Issue: The outer halo stays white when the car is off.

    • Possible Reasons:

      • Missing harness attached to the DRL part.

      • Bad harness.

      • Incorrect harness connection.

  • Solution: If needed, request a replacement: OCUL-PLH, and we won't charge for shipping.

  • Anything produced after 01/2021 allows the Color SHIFT halo to be changed while in drive. This will override the outer white halo, and it will turn off.
