Issue: Bulbs Don't Have a Sharp Cut-Off Line
A sharp cut-off line in your headlights is primarily determined by the projector within your vehicle, not the LED bulbs. LED bulbs do not create this line; it's formed by a component called a "restrictor plate" inside the projector.
Issue: Bulbs Don't Seem as Bright as Original Bulbs
Please ensure that the LEDs are oriented horizontally, with the left and right sides facing accordingly. Most vehicles require this horizontal positioning. If this makes the situation worse, try rotating the bulbs so that the LEDs are in a vertical orientation, facing up and down. Additionally, check for any age-related defects, like yellowing or hazing, on your headlamp lenses, as this can affect brightness.
Issue: Flickering in Both Headlights Due to Factory DRL
In cases where vehicles have factory Daytime Running Lights (DRL), these lights often use the Low or High Beam at half voltage. This voltage level is insufficient to power standard LED bulbs. Most Canadian vehicles have this feature due to road regulations. A programmer can often disable DRL on many vehicles, or covering the daylight sensor on the dashboard can resolve this issue. V-Series bulbs are compatible with 6v DRL input.
Issue: H7 LED Bulb Not Fitting EU Vehicles (VW/Audi/Merc/BMW)
Many EU vehicles like Mercedes, BMW, VW, and others require additional components that we do not provide. You can purchase these components from other sources. Links to products on Amazon have been provided for your convenience.
Issue: Strobing or Shutting Down of Bulbs
Strobing or shutting down of LED bulbs when the engine is running is usually related to the CAN (Controller Area Network) system in your vehicle. This occurs when the computer can't detect the factory halogen bulbs. To resolve this, a canbus decoder can be added between the LED bulb and the OEM socket to prevent strobing or shut-down.
We carry H4 (2071-504) and H13 (2072-504) canbus decoders, but for other bulb sizes, you can search for "(Bulb Size) LED Canbus Decoder" from other suppliers.
If the issue persists after installing the canbus adapters, try plugging them in the opposite way. Ensure that both the driver and passenger sides are reset (plugged in the opposite direction) at the same time with the vehicle turned off.
Issue: LEDs Out on One or Both Bulbs
To assist you better, could you please let us know the year, make, and model of your vehicle? This information will help us tailor our troubleshooting steps to your specific vehicle.
We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with our LED bulbs. Please complete the following troubleshooting steps and share the results with us:
Unplug both LED bulbs from the factory plugs.
Remove the negative cable from the battery.
Swap the bulbs' positions, placing the driver's bulb on the passenger's side and vice versa.
Plug the new bulbs back in.
Reconnect the negative battery cable.
If the issue follows the bulb when you move it to the new side, it indicates that the bulb is faulty. We will replace it as per our warranty guidelines. If you encounter the same problem with both bulbs not illuminating, it may be related to your vehicle's factory plug or harness. If you're unsure about checking these components yourself, we can issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and RL (Return Label) with a detailed explanation of the warranty/advanced warranty policy.
Issue: Spacing/Fitment Concerns
For better assistance, please provide the year, make, and model of your vehicle. This information will enable us to offer specific solutions related to your vehicle.
Spacing issues, especially with capsule headlamps that have a dust cap enclosing the bulb, can occur due to the size of the bulb's heatsink. In such cases, we suggest the following solutions:
Opt for a bulb with a smaller footprint, such as the V-Series.
Modify the dust cap to accommodate the larger heatsink if you prefer to continue using the existing bulbs.
